YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO BE PART OF THIS COMMUNITY!

WE HAVE MANY PEOPLE THAT ARE NOW INTERESTED IN BEING A PART OF AN ACTIVE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM!

ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE?

ARE YOU JUST CURIOUS ABOUT THE PROGRAM?

ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT THE INCREASING VANDALISM AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN OUR COMMUNITY?

IF SO, WE ARE HAVING AN INFORMATIONAL (NO OBLIGATION) MEETING ON MAY 5TH (Thursday) FROM 6-7PM BEFORE OUR REGULAR BOARD MEETING.

OFFICER LIZ BARRINGTON, CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER WITH FAIRFAX COUNTY POLICE WILL BE HOLDING THE MEETING. SHE WILL HAVE INFORMATION TO PASS OUT AS WELL AS BEING THERE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.

A TRAINING SESSION, FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING WILL BE HELD AFTER THE INFORMATIONAL MEETING.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE PARTICIPATE IN THE SAFETY OF OUR COMMUNITY. IT IS A PROVEN FACT THAT COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE ACTIVE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH RATHER THAN JUST POSTING SIGNS HAVE FAR LESS INCIDENTS OF VANDALISM AND CRIME THAN THOSE THAT DON’T.

LETS MAKE SURE THAT CHANTILLY HIGHLANDS CONTINUES TO BE THE FAMILY FRIENDLY AND SAFE PLACE WE ALL LOVE TO CALL HOME!!!!!

Summer Sense

With summer approaching, and our schedules becoming a bit more hectic, take the time to keep safe. As the family comes and goes to various activities, it is easy to forget to lock a door, or close and lock a window. However, these are the kinds of errors that thieves look for in a target. Here are some reminders:

Make your home look like someone is there with timers for your lights.
Don’t leave your home unlocked, even for a short period of time.
Don’t hide keys outside your house-give to a neighbor.
Schedule a FREE home security inspection from a Fairfax County Police officer, who will point out areas that could use improvement. Call the Fair Oaks District Station at 703-591-0966 to make an appointment.
Report suspicious activities/persons to the Fairfax County Police non-emergency number, 703-691-2131.
