On Tuesday, January 13th, the Chantilly Highland Homes Association hosted a reception to recognize the volunteers that bind our 908 houses into a community. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
The Boy Scouts from troop 20 were given a plaque honoring them for the time and effort that they and their leaders have given over the years. This past year they were particularly active in Community Day where they spent the night before under the stars keeping a watchful eye on the big tent. They also helped to set up the booths that we used the following day, and they ran a number of the booths. They did a great job! Thank you, Scouts and all of our community’s Scout Leaders!
We also heard a few words from Jeff Parnes, one of our own, and this year’s Lord Fairfax.
Everyone agreed that volunteers are the life-blood of this community, and that without them, life in Chantilly Highlands would be much less fulfilling.
So keep your eyes open for the date of the next Volunteer Night. See you all then.
