Election of New Board Members
On Thursday, January 10th 2002
The Board of Directors will be hosting the 2002 Annual Homeowner’s Meeting on Thursday,
January 10th at the Community Center at 7:30 PM. All homeowners are encouraged to
attend. Each committee will give their annual report, and the 2002 CHHA proposed budget will be
presented. The most important order of business will be to elect three new board members to fill
those terms that will expire. The nominating committee is looking for civic-minded Chantilly
Highland residents to run for these positions.
Board members are elected to serve a three year
term that includes attending the monthly Board
Meetings, serving as a liaison to one of the
community committees, and participating in the
board sponsored community events. Board
members may then run for one of the four board
officers to be elected in February 2002.
Interested candidates should:
- Contact a member of the nominating committee
to be added to the ballot. They are David
Howlett (703-689-9840), John Tandler (703-709-8281),
and Bill Jeffrey (703-689-3408). Write-in
candidates will be accepted at the Homeowner’s
Meeting.
- Make multiple copies of the blank proxy
enclosed on page 11 (past candidates have
collected 50 or more).
- Proxies must be signed by the homeowner.
Renters may only sign if the homeowner has
granted the renter a proxy.
- Gather proxies between now and the meeting
(one vote per lot).
- Bring the proxies to the Annual Meeting on
January 10, 2002.
