A woman was assaulted last night in the Franklin Farm area. On Wednesday, November 2 around 6:30 p.m. a 49-year-old woman exited her car in the 3200 block of Willow Glen Drive. As she was retrieving her belongings from her car, she was approached by a man in a mask carrying an unknown object. He struck her several times in the upper body. She screamed, and her assailant fled. She was transported to Inova Fair Oaks Hospital where she was treated and released.
The suspect is described as white, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and 185 pounds. He wore all black clothing.
